Who's behind
optimizemac
A small team focused on one thing — building apps that actually run well. We work on iOS and Android, and we take Mac performance seriously because that's where the work happens.
The story so far
optimizemac started from a simple frustration — too many Mac cleaner apps that promised a lot and delivered very little. A bloated mac cleaner app that takes 400 MB just to tell you your desktop is messy isn't solving anything.
So we built differently. The mac cleaner we wanted to use ourselves: lightweight, clear about what it's doing, and honest about what it can and can't fix. Clean my mac requests used to mean running three separate tools. Now it's one session.
The same thinking carries into our iOS and Android work. Every app we build has to justify its memory footprint. If it can't, we cut it back until it can. Mac optimization isn't just a product category for us — it's a standard we apply to everything we ship.
How we actually work
No hand-waving. Here's what a real mac optimization engagement looks like from first contact to shipped build.
Small team, direct contact
There's no account manager sitting between you and the person doing the work. When you reach out to optimizemac, you're talking to someone who has actually written the code or run the mac cleaner diagnostic themselves.
That's not a pitch — it's just how a team this size operates. It means faster answers, fewer miscommunications, and someone who can tell you exactly why app macbook optimization behaves differently on M-series chips versus Intel.
